On a complete tangent, I wonder why Microsoft is bothering to make a 32-bit Windows 7, since it'd be a ton of work for not much benefit. Plus there's that then it'll make some companies hang on to making new 32-bit programs for people's lack of a 64-bit OS. For example, Firefox still has no 64-bit version, and as suggested by our benchmarking, 32-bit CPU-bound code runs a few times slower on a 64-bit OS than the same code compiled (or optimized and assembled) for 64-bit.

And don't forget that Microsoft in all their wisdom still only make Microsoft Office in 32 bit (at least as far as I know), as a huge number still use this resource and a lot of supporting applications are also 32 bit, they had to make a 32 bit OS.
